Welcome to the First Congregational Church of Falmouth of the United Church of Christ. We are located on the historic Town Green in the beautiful seaside town of Falmouth, Massachusetts. We invite you to explore this web site description of our ministry, and to experience first-hand our growing community of faith if you visit or live on beautiful Cape Cod.

Our services are held at 10:00 AM on Sunday throughout the year, with the exception of Easter Sunday. On Easter, we celebrate the Resurrection with services at 9:30 and 11 AM. Childcare and an after-service coffee hour are offered year round. An elevator is located just inside the side entrance off our parking lot. Everyone is most welcome! Welcome Pastor-elect Jonathan Drury!

We are very pleased to announce the election of the Rev. Jonathan Drury as the next Settled Minister of our church. Jonathan was elected in a unanimous vote of our congregation on Sunday, May 6th. He is expected to begin serving our congregation on August 1, 2012. We appreciate the fine support shown by our members and friends at Jonathan's reception and during our "Candidate Sunday" service and congregational meeting.   Rev. Jonathan DruryOur Search Committee and all of our members and friends  have  felt God’s presence throughout the search process and Jonathan's "Candidate Weekend".  Through prayer and discernment, it became clear to both Jonathan,  the committee  and our congregation  that God is calling him to ministry at our church here in Falmouth. As we have grown to know Jonathan, we have felt his deep faith and love of ministry. He possesses a warm and engaging personality, an ability to relate to people of all ages, boundless energy, a strong interest in mission, and countless gifts for ministry. We have experienced his worship style that honors traditional elements of worship, yet is spirit-filled and innovative. His inspirational preaching reaches the “head and heart.”

  We are all pleased to welcome Jonathan and his family to Falmouth and to our church family!

 

We would also like to pass along our sincere thanks to both the Profile Committee, so ably chaired by Dennis McGillicuddy and our Search Committee, skillfully coordinated by Evelyn Johnson. These groups, helped by input from Pastor Steve and countless others in the congregation and guided by the Holy Spirit,  have exhibited uncommon dedication to the future of our church and helped us complete this very successful effort. Our future is very bright as a result!

The Rummage Sale is comingOur annual Rummage Sale on Saturday, May 5th was a real success. Thanks to all of you who worked so hard and, of course, to our patrons!
